Universal Orlando Covers up Hogwarts Castle in ‘Harry Potter’ Land

In late March, Universal Orlando Resort installed scrim, scaffolding, and construction walls around Hogwarts Castle in Hogsmeade without any prior announcement to visitors. Now, almost a month later, some of the barriers are coming down, Universal Islands of Adventure guests are getting their first look at the reimagined building in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.Hogwarts Castle Refurbishment UpdateCredit: Andrew Boardwine, Inside the MagicThe first update on the Hogwarts Castle construction came almost a week ago, when some gray scrim disappeared from part of the exterior of Hogwarts Castle. Still, it offered barely a glimpse at the building underneath–home to the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey attraction.As of Sunday, April 26, Universal Orlando Resort guests can finally see parts of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter icon. According to photos posted by X (formerly Twitter) user @bioreconstruct, construction crews have removed the scrim from most of Hogwarts Castle, revealing the scaffolding beneath. That portion of the building is expected to match the completed portion when it debuts.
