Mehraj Malik, an Aam Aadmi Party MLA from Doda, has been released from Kathua jail after eight months. His detention under the Public Safety Act was quashed by the Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court. Malik, who represents the Doda constituency, was arrested in September 2025.
