Hospice Malta Collects More Than €500,000 In 12-Hour Telethon | Lovin Malta

Hospice Malta, an organisation dedicated to providing end-of-life care to patients, raised €557,863 during a 12-hour telethon held yesterday.The fundraising event was broadcast across all local television stations and brought together volunteers, healthcare workers, sponsors, artists, patients, and their families, uniting them in support of the cause.All funds raised will be directed towards improving palliative care services in Malta and expanding them with additional therapy services.The money will also support the further development of St Michael Hospice, including a 16-bed inpatient unit designed to provide continuous care in a comfortable and serene environment for patients.Hospice Chairperson Bernardette Bonnici Kind expressed gratitude to all those who supported the telethon, saying: “We are truly grateful to everyone who supported this year’s telethon. Your generosity helps us continue providing professional, compassionate, palliative care free of charge to patients and families.”In 2025, Hospice provided 33,000 home professional sessions and over 4,000 social and psychosocial sessions, while more than 400 patients attended its Day Therapy Unit and clinics.Donations can still be made through Hospice Malta’s website.•
