Delhi-NCR is currently experiencing intense heatwave conditions with temperatures between 43°C and 45°C as of April 26 afternoon, driven by hot westerly winds and above-normal temperatures. The heatwave is expected to continue till April 27, after which relief is likely from April 28 due to a shift to cooler easterly winds, influence of a Western Disturbance, and developing cloud cover. Maximum temperatures are forecast to drop by 4–6°C, with chances of light rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds helping ease conditions.
