Malta Police Force has unveiled a new fleet of vehicles aimed at strengthening operational capabilities across the island.The investment includes 30 Alfa Stelvio Sprint cars assigned to the Rapid Intervention Unit (RIU), enhancing mobility, surveillance and response to serious incidents in public spaces.The fleet forms part of a wider €1.8 million project, partly co-funded by the European Union, focused on improving the protection of public spaces through specialised vehicles. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Lovin Malta (@lovinmalta)In addition, the Roads Policing Unit (RPU) has been equipped with four Skoda Octavia and two Ford Custom vehicles, supporting officers in traffic accident investigations and improving efficiency on site.Police Commissioner Angelo Gafà said the investment is already showing results, with RIU officers carrying out over 612,000km of patrols and more than 3,400 road checks last year, alongside a drop in serious traffic accidents.•
