Beau Greaves has set her sights on an extended run at a PDC televised event after securing her first ProTour title.The 22-year-old beat Michael Smith 8-7 in the Players Championship 11 final to become the first woman to win a PDC ranking event.Greaves created PDC history on Monday as she finished her final with an average of 96.49GettyCompeting in her first year on the PDC circuit after receiving a two-year tour card, the three-time women’s world champion sealed her victory with an epic 142 checkout.World champions Rob Cross and Gary Anderson were dispatched in the quarter-finals and semi-finals, with 2023 champ Smith coming unstuck in an enthralling 15-leg thriller in Milton Keynes.Greaves, who became the first woman to hit a PDC ProTour nine-darter at Players Championship 6 in February, is now up to 79th in the world rankings having scooped £15,000 with her win on Monday.She is also on course to feature at the Players Championship finals in November as she moved up to fifth in the order of merit following her impressive showing on the ProTour in 2026.Beau ‘n’ Arrow has been tipped to win a major title in the future, but Greaves instead is aiming for more consistency at majors.The furthest she has reached in a PDC major is the fourth round of the 2025 UK Open, where she lost 10-7 to Luke Humphries.She had been leading Cool Hand 5-2, before being reeled in by the eight-time major winner.Meanwhile, Greaves has bowed out in the opening round of the PDC World Championship in both 2023 and 2026 – her only appearances at Alexandra Palace.In a video shared on talkSPORT’s Darts YouTube page, Greaves commented on what her ultimate aim is.She said on the White and Jordan show: “Now that I’ve won that title, I’ll probably start believing a bit more.Greaves won Players Championship 11 to become the first woman to win a PDC ranking titlePDCShe was left in disbelief after checking out 142 to win a last-leg decider against SmithPDC“But I’d love to just get on tele and have a brilliant run like I did.“And you never know, I think I’ve got a long way to go and I’ve got to work really hard for it.“But maybe now that I’ve won that, maybe I can win some on the tele or something a lot bigger.“But I don’t know, I’ve always enjoyed what I do and I’ll continue to enjoy it regardless if I don’t go on to win on the tele or do anything else.”Greaves also revealed how she is proving herself wrong having openly admitted in the past that women will not be able to compete with men on the PDC Tour.Speaking after she retained her Women’s World Matchplay title in July 2024, Greaves said: “I just don’t think we’ll ever be good enough to play against the likes of Luke Humphries, [Michael] van Gerwen, even [Luke] Littler.”Greaves had reached back-to-back quarter finals at Players Championship 10 and 11 before her triumphGettyReferencing those comments when discussing if there is a gap between the men and women in darts, Greaves told talkSPORT: “It’s a tough one.“Because I’ve always said that they’re [female darts players] not good enough, and I have said that in interviews, but it was a couple of years ago.“But at the time, I did believe that, but I seem to somehow keep proving myself wrong everything I said.“But there is a big gap, there is a massive gap.”She added: “I just look at stats and think there is a gap, and that’s probably where it will stay for a long time.”
