Dancehall artist Vyper Ranking has publicly distanced himself from the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF), making it clear that he has no intentions of joining the body anytime soon.Speaking to Galaxy TV, Vyper acknowledged that while the SACCO initiative under the Federation is not entirely a bad idea, its current structure does not favor many artists, particularly those who are financially struggling.The SACCO is not a bad idea, but the way it is structured makes it difficult for many artists, especially those who are not financially stable.Saving Shs 5 million to borrow ten million doesn’t add up for me. At my level, that amount is just peanuts and cannot add real value.The singer emphasized that the financial returns offered through the SACCO do not align with his expectations or the level at which he operates as an artist.
