Magpul has announced the release of a new color option, Modified Coyote Brown (MCB), across a selection of its existing AR-platform accessories. First shown earlier this year at SHOT Show 2026, the new finish is now available on multiple products through Magpul’s website and retail channels. MCB is described as a darker variation of traditional coyote tones, offering a slightly deeper and more subdued appearance compared to standard flat dark earth or coyote brown finishes. The addition reflects ongoing demand for alternative color options that complement a wider range of rifle setups and environmental conditions. At launch, eight products are available in the new color, spanning several categories within Magpul’s AR accessory lineup. These include both windowed and non-windowed versions of the GEN M3 PMAG 30-round magazines, as well as CTR and DT carbine stocks. The lineup also includes two MOE pistol grip variants and a pair of M-LOK compatible accessories, the angled fore grip (AFG) and vertical fore grip (MVG). A ninth product, the Type 2 M-LOK rail covers, is expected to follow shortly, completing the initial rollout of the MCB color across this group of accessories. Aside from the color change, the products retain their existing specifications and materials. That includes the same polymer construction, compatibility standards, and general design features that define Magpul’s current offerings. No functional updates or revisions have been introduced alongside the new finish. The introduction of MCB continues Magpul’s pattern of expanding color options across its catalog, giving users additional ways to configure rifles without altering core components. While largely cosmetic, these variations can play a role in both visual preference and environmental blending depending on the use case. With availability already underway and additional components expected soon, Modified Coyote Brown becomes the latest addition to Magpul’s established range of finishes for AR accessories.
