The setting transported gala attendees back to the 1920s and 1930s, that doubled as a nod to this year’s Actor Awards theme, inspired by showrunner Jon Brockett’s love of Old Hollywood. “I think it’s a great well to keep going back to, because it never seems to go out of style, that period. It’s always classic,” Brockett told ELLE ahead of the ceremony. “The idea of giving leeway to talent to reinvent or reimagine it is also really exciting to us.”Chelsea Lauren/Shutterstock for The Actor Awards//ShutterstockThe party came to life with a lively DJ, light bites, and cocktails provided by the presenting sponsors: Woodland Reserve, Cooper’s Hawk, Purely Sedona, and Armand de Brignac Champagne. Many sipped on Palomas and espresso martinis to keep the party going, while others with a sweet tooth visited the crème brûlée bar, which had five tantalizing flavors to choose from: Earl Grey, classic vanilla bean, dark chocolate, pumpkin ginger spice, and maple crème. Those looking for heartier bites popped over to the slider station, which contained mini burger bites with both vegetarian and vegan options.Chelsea Lauren/Shutterstock for The Actor Awards//ShutterstockAfter an entertaining show, revelers mingled and let their hair down for the night. Kate Hudson brought her brother, Oliver Hudson, as her plus-one and was seen chatting with him at the after-party. The worlds of Seth Rogen and Ryan Murphy collided during the gala—The Studio’s Kathryn Hahn and The Beauty’s Sarah Paulson were spotted excitedly chatting with Byrne. Other television crossovers included Wednesday and I Love LA, with Ortega and A’zion posing for photos together.Chelsea Lauren/Shutterstock for The Actor Awards//ShutterstockChris Polk/Shutterstock for The//ShutterstockThe Actor Awards Post-Show Gala also put a spotlight on ELLE’s partnership with the award show for the first time ever. In addition to hosting the event, ELLE also set the fashion theme for the evening: “Reimagining Hollywood Glamour From the ’20s and ’30s.”“ELLE has a long history with Hollywood, and we have always championed both emerging talent and established stars,” editor-in-chief Nina Garcia said ahead of the event. “Our vision of fashion is forever intertwined with what we see on-screen, so I’m thrilled that ELLE is joining the Actor Awards as its first-ever fashion partner. We’re excited to bring our distinct editorial point of view to an event that celebrates creativity, craft, and the power of storytelling.”Starr BowenbankStarr Bowenbank writes about all things pertaining to news, pop culture, and entertainment—you can follow her here.
