There's some awfully-impressive video floating around of one of our jets successfully evading an Iranian air-defensive missile. The dude in the box obviously has some church-bell sized ones and is a master of his craft -- he defeats the missile, but not easily.Its the "not easily" that's the problem; the maneuvering burns a lot of fuel and that's fine, but it also burns a crap-ton of defensive flares. Yes, they're reasonably cheap by comparison to missile but how many do you have and by the way, there might be more than one missile. If you run out of flares before you get all the missiles, well.......The nature of war always.......(Click link to read more)
