An 11-month-old baby girl was found dead in her bedroom at the family residence in Triq Andre Maurois, St Julian’s, late last night.The discovery was made by the baby’s father, a Serbian national, when he returned home from work at around 11.30pm as reported TVM News.He allegedly asked the child’s mother, who is British, where their daughter was, and she replied that she was asleep in her room. When he went to check on her, he allegedly found her dead. Initial indications suggest she may have choked on her vomit.A magisterial inquiry has been opened and is being led by Duty Magistrate Franco Galea. More details are expected.•
