Same thing happened to me. Last day of a warehouse clean-out. I'd saved the best wood scraps for someone who said they'd be there by 10am. I had to be finished clearing the space by 4 (move out ready - broom swept). Other people came for other items, took the wood that wasn't saved for this guy. I sent him a message, didn't have a cell #. Around 1pm I let a nice couple who took the rest of the wood to build a shed take the wood I'd been saving for the original guy, assuming he was a no-show. He rolls up at 2pm all pissed because he'd driven 2.5 hours and the wood wasn't there anymore. Sir, it's 2025 (at the time), maybe get a cell phone.
