Indonesia was shaken near Tiakur, Southwest Maluku Regency, Maluku, by an earthquake of magnitude 5.1 only 11 minutes ago, Indonesia's Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency reported.The quake hit at an intermediate depth of 102. km beneath the epicenter near Tiakur, Southwest Maluku Regency, Maluku, Indonesia, early morning on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2026, at 2:40 am local time. The strength of the earthquake may have been tempered by its relative great depth below the surface, which makes it feel weaker in absolute terms.
