The Union Minister chaired a review meeting to assess the situation, with enhanced monitoring and reporting protocols activated for Indian-flagged ships. Approximately 23,000 Indian seafarers are currently in Gulf countries, with 37 Indian-flagged vessels and over 1,100 seafarers in the Persian Gulf.
