Elliott Wave - Alternate Wave CountS&P 500SP:SPXmarkrivestThe S&P 500 (SPX) on 04/14/26 moved above powerful resistance illustrated in my prior post. It takes powerful force to break powerful resistance. The door is now open to move up to SPX 7,100. One of my followers asked a very good question. The move up from the 03/30/26 bottom is a clear Elliott five wave pattern. Is there a bearish alternate wave count? Illustrated is an alternate wave count. Elliott wave – Expanding Flats terminate in a five-wave pattern and are a candidate for an alternate count. If this low probability count is valid, then the SPX could be forming a lower double peak vs. the February 2026 peak.
