/u/Ok_Character7958 on Landlord wanted a quiet tenant, just not one who actually lives there

Wait 5 sec.

I tried to cancel mine, but they said I couldn’t cancel, had to come in person or send a certified letter. Went in person, then they couldn’t cancel for some other reason. Switched the pay account to one I never used or had money in, then they said I couldn’t cancel until I brought my account current. Went round and round for months. Saw on Instagram to switch your address to CA because they have a law that requires easy cancellations. Signed into my account, input the address of an apartment I found on apartments.com, waited 2 days, signed back in, big old cancel button on the first page. Cancelled it in 2 minutes. I had to go through a lot of “are you really sure you want to do this?” Pages before I fully cancelled, but much less frustrating than dealing with PF.
