Unfortunately, people don’t always understand the concept of cross contamination or potential allergen. I’ve heard people say that eggs are considered dairy because vegans won’t eat it (???) I would trust my child to manage a potential allergen, but I can’t trust someone to understand how to not accidentally expose them to it when they’ve had no kitchen training.
