Leaked One UI 9 Android 17 builds have already emerged and we've got one running on a Galaxy S26. Our colleagues over at SamMobile's YouTube channel have put together a detailed hands on video that highlights what's new Samsung's upcoming major firmware update. There are some notable cosmetic changes in this Android 17-based One UI 9 build. What you immediately notice after swiping down to reveal the quick panel is that the brightness and volume sliders are massive, they're a lot thicker than they were previously. No new settings have been added to the quick panel, but that could change in later builds. Some AI-related changes have been made as well. You'll find an option in Photo Assist which will automatically suggest prompts after analyzing a photo to suggest creative ways to transform it. A new menu is available in Audio Eraser which shows toggles for all apps that the feature supports, which is pretty much anything that can play video content. Now Brief gets sections for the different styles of content you may want to organize within this feature. Samsung DeX gets a new toggle to bring an existing feature for auto hide status and taskbar into a more central position. Many other tweaks and improvements have also been made in One UI 9, so check out the full video below to learn more.
