President Trump warns Tehran that US will carry out long-delayed threat to destroy Iran’s energy infrastructure if no deal reached in upcoming Islamabad talks.By David Rosenberg, World Israel NewsPresident Donald Trump warned Iran over the weekend that the United States is prepared to act on its threats to destroy the Islamic Republic’s energy infrastructure, including its power plants, if Tehran fails to compromise in the upcoming talks in Pakistan. On Sunday, Trump penned a post on his Truth Social account, excoriating the regime a day after Iranian forces opened fire on several foreign vessels traveling in the Strait of Hormuz. The incident occurred as Iran declared that it was reimposing the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, despite an agreement with the US to reopen the strategically crucial waterway, after the US brokered a ten-day ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon.Trump declared the closure, and subsequent attacks, to be a “total violation” of the truce deal.“Iran decided to fire bullets yesterday in the Strait of Hormuz — A Total Violation of our Ceasefire Agreement! Many of them were aimed at a French Ship, and a Freighter from the United Kingdom,” Trump wrote. “That wasn’t nice, was it?”Despite the incident, and Iran’s decision to reimpose the closure on the Strait of Hormuz, Trump said he would allow the second round of talks in Islamabad to be held as planned.“My Representatives are going to Islamabad, Pakistan — They will be there tomorrow evening, for Negotiations. Iran recently announced that they were closing the Strait, which is strange, because our BLOCKADE has already closed it. They’re helping us without knowing, and they are the ones that lose with the closed passage, $500 Million Dollars a day! The United States loses nothing.”“In fact, many Ships are headed, right now, to the U.S., Texas, Louisiana, and Alaska, to load up, compliments of the IRGC, always wanting to be ‘the tough guy!'”However, Trump emphasized that unless Iran accepts the American proposal in the second round of Islamabad talks, the US military will strike Iranian infrastructure, including bridges, power plants, and oil refineries.“We’re offering a very fair and reasonable DEAL, and I hope they take it because, if they don’t, the United States is going to knock out every single Power Plant, and every single Bridge, in Iran.”“NO MORE MR. NICE GUY! They’ll come down fast, they’ll come down easy and, if they don’t take the DEAL, it will be my Honor to do what has to be done, which should have been done to Iran, by other Presidents, for the last 47 years. IT’S TIME FOR THE IRAN KILLING MACHINE TO END!”The post ‘No more Mr. Nice Guy,’ Trump declares after Iran breaks ceasefire deal appeared first on World Israel News.
