Bitcoin Resurges – Geopolitical Shifts, and Path to AltseasonBitcoin / TetherUSBINANCE:BTCUSDTMMBTtraderBitcoin is showing clear signs of renewed strength, appearing to have "returned from the dead" as observed in today's price action. Beyond technical factors, fundamental developments are now aligning with the bullish structure. One key geopolitical shift is the reopening of the Strait of Iran, which had previously been a source of trade disruption. Additionally, there are growing indications that major armed conflicts may be nearing their end. This reduction in geopolitical tension is generally positive for risk assets; however, the situation regarding fiat currencies remains complex. As we previously mentioned, during periods of prolonged conflict, Bitcoin tends to rise in the long term. One of the primary reasons for this behavior is the erosion of trust in the US dollar and other fiat currencies. Wars disrupt international trade, increase national debt, and accelerate concerns about the long-term strength of paper money. These factors drive capital toward decentralized and non-sovereign assets like Bitcoin. Now, with peace gradually emerging, fuel prices may drop again, and overall market tension is expected to ease. Nevertheless, the distrust toward the US dollar and other fiat currencies remains strong, as the structural damage caused by recent global events will not heal overnight. Therefore, the current fundamental-technical pump is likely to continue. In this environment, we are also likely to witness a genuine altcoin season (altseason) . Most altcoins are currently down more than 80% from their all-time highs. At these depressed levels, a 2x or 3x increase is relatively modest and could be considered a technical correction rather than a full-blown bubble. For traders and investors entering at current levels, this environment presents a favorable risk-reward ratio, and the coming months could indeed be called an altseason for early entrants. Educational Note: An altseason typically occurs when Bitcoin's dominance declines after a period of strong BTC growth, and capital rotates into altcoins. However, the current setup is unique because many altcoins are trading at deeply oversold levels (80%+ drawdowns). In such conditions, even a standard technical correction can produce 2–3x moves. Traders should still use proper risk management, including stop-losses and position sizing, as low-cap altcoins remain highly volatile.
