Just tell her this has been a hit on your income and car maintenance. Tell her that you didn’t expect it to last this long… This all would be very true. Ask her to please find another way in with someone who lives closer to her the next day. If you can’t say it, text or email her. You will have a record if she gets ugly. And then don’t pick her up the next morning. She’s a mooch and will try to blame you for her inconvenience. If she makes life difficult for you go to HR… or the boss and ask to be move away from her. You do not deserve to be taken advantage of this way for being a kind person. I was in a similar situation and had to stand up for myself. She got furious with me as though I was mistreating her. We no longer speak and I’m much happier having learned a good lesson. You will be happier too.
