The idea that adoptees are lucky to have a family, even if they were purchased and a newborn and should be grateful. It's also even more ridiculous when you take into account the fact that most of those parents adopt out of THEIR desire to have children they can't have biologically. They shouldas grateful to be able to be parents at all thanks to adoption. I'm lucky and grateful that my parents have seen adoption like this and never through a white savior lense.
