G-Mode announced the mobile game Xenosaga: Pied Piper, which acted as a prequel looking at Ziggy’s past, will return on Ziggy Prequel Xenosaga: Pied Piper Returns via G-Mode Archives+ platforms via G-Mode Archives+. It will be released on both the Switch and PC. There’s no release window yet, but the Steam product page is live now. This spin-off game appeared about two years after Xenosaga Episode I: Der Wille zur Macht, and it only appeared on phones in Japan. In the game, Ziggy is a cyborg and we meet him alongside MOMO the Realian in the game. This JRPG takes place 100 years before the first entry in the series. At that point, Ziggy was a human police officer named Jan Sauer chasing a serial killer. The events of this storyline led to his fate in the main series. The Steam page for the release confirmed a few details about it. As expected from a G-Mode Archives release, Xenosaga: Pied Piper will not get an official translation and will only be available in Japanese. The PC version will support Steam Cloud for saves and controllers. Five initial screenshots are also available.
