Samsung SDI announced today that it has signed an agreement to supply batteries for Mercedes-Benz’s next-generation electric vehicles. This marks the first time Samsung SDI will supply EV batteries to the German luxury carmaker, although it already supplies batteries to other automakers.As part of the agreement, Samsung SDI will provide high-performance batteries for Mercedes-Benz’s upcoming compact and mid-size electric SUVs and coupe models.
