Samsung introduced several new Galaxy AI features with the Galaxy S26 series in early 2026. With the One UI 8.5 update, the company is bringing some of those features to older devices. The Galaxy S26 series launched with four new Galaxy AI features: Advanced Audio Eraser, Call Screening, Creative Studio, and an improved Photo Assist.Audio Eraser initially worked only on recorded videos. Now, it lets you reduce unwanted background noise in real-time while watching videos on apps like Instagram, Netflix, and YouTube, and you can control the level of noise reduction directly from the Quick Panel. Call Screening uses on-device AI to answer calls on your behalf when you are busy. It asks the caller for their name and the reason for the call, and then saves a recording and transcription for you to review later.Creative Studio is a new app that lets you design drawings, invitation cards, profile cards, stickers, and wallpapers using doodles or text prompts. Finally, the updated Photo Assist now lets you edit images using text prompts. It can even import objects or people from other photos, giving you more control over how you want to merge elements into a single image.Samsung devices eligible for Galaxy S26 AI featuresThese four Galaxy AI features are coming to older devices with One UI 8.5.
