The 40-year-old man who tragically lost his life in a refuse truck accident in Qormi early this morning has been identified as Jurgen Cassar.The fatal incident happened at around 6am in Triq il-Kaċċatur, when Cassar, who is from Qormi, became trapped in machinery at the back of a truck he owned. He died instantly.Tearful family members were seen arriving on site shortly after the incident, as emergency services and investigators worked in the area.A magisterial inquiry led by Magistrate Monica Borg Galea has been launched, while the Occupational Health and Safety Authority is also conducting a separate investigation.The circumstances surrounding the accident are still being investigated.More updates as we know them.Photo credits to @talk.mt•
