A few months ago, a report claimed that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will come with an innovative, AI-powered feature that offers additional privacy to contents on the phone's screen. We've now found how the feature works by going through the One UI 8.5 firmware. One UI 8.5 on the Galaxy S26 will have the Privacy Display featureWe have discovered the Privacy Display feature in the One UI 8.5 firmware. According to the Tips app, the upcoming feature makes the screen less visible when viewed from a side angle. When you are using a phone with this feature around people and turn on Privacy Display, people beside you can't see what's on your phone's screen, as the screen looks darker. You can turn on the feature from the phone's Settings app or from the Privacy Display quick setting toggle in the Quick Panel. You can even set conditions to turn on the feature automatically by editing the ‘Conditions For Turning On' section. It could integrate with the Modes And Routines app for automation. For example it could be possible to activate it when you are outside of your home or office. This feature likely requires a newer-generation OLED panel from Samsung Display. The South Korean display firm showcased an OLED panel with the Flex Magic Pixel feature back in early 2024 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) expo. And Samsung could be using a panel with the same technology in the Galaxy S26 series. It isn't clear if this feature will be available on all three Galaxy S26 series phones or just the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Currently, no other smartphone in the world seems to have a similar feature. The post One UI 8.5 leak confirms Galaxy S26’s genius display feature appeared first on SamMobile.
