For years, Samsung was the only brand that made 200MP camera sensors for smartphones. Recently, Sony launched its first 200MP camera sensor to compete with Samsung. However, that doesn't seem to have affected Samsung's business, as its 200MP sensors will reportedly be used in several high-end Chinese phones next year.According to reports coming out of China, OnePlus' next flagship phone and OPPO's next high-end foldable phone will use 200MP camera sensors. These are likely Samsung's 1/1.4-inch ISOCELL HP5 sensors, as they will be used as telephoto (zoom) cameras in the OnePlus 16 and the OPPO Find N6. They could be paired with periscope-style telephoto lenses with at least 3x optical zoom. The OnePlus 16 and the OPPO Find N6 are expected to feature a 50MP primary camera, a 50MP ultrawide camera (likely ISOCELL JN5), and a 200MP telephoto camera (likely ISOCELL HP5).The OPPO Find N6 is also rumored to feature two 20MP front-facing cameras. OPPO's next foldable could feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and a 6,000mAh (minimum 5,850mAh) battery. It could weigh 225 and have up to 16GB RAM and up to 1TB storage. Xiaomi recently launched its new flagship smartphone, the 17 Ultra. It uses a Samsung 200MP sensor for its telephoto camera. It is paired with a 3.2-4.3x continuous optical zoom lens and OIS. Vivo has also used Samsung's ISOCELL HPB sensor for the X300's primary camera and X300 Pro's telephoto camera. The post Samsung’s 200MP cameras are making it to several high-end Chinese phones appeared first on SamMobile.
