Social and political commentator Frank Gashumba has urged women to breastfeed their children for at least two years, saying the practice is essential for a child’s healthy development.Gashumba shared the remarks while giving an update on his relationship with his baby mama, Malaika Mutoni, with whom he welcomed a baby boy a few months ago. He said fatherhood has been a positive experience and revealed that he expects his partner to breastfeed their child for two years, noting that his own mother breastfed him for the same duration. He criticised advice that encourages mothers to stop breastfeeding at an early stage, describing it as misguided. Gashumba also took issue with what he termed a growing culture of discouraging extended breastfeeding.Kranium drops 30-second verse on Joshua Baraka’s “Morocco”He called on working women to continue breastfeeding despite their busy schedules, suggesting that they breastfeed their children at least twice a day, in the morning before work and in the evening after work.Parenting is treating us excellently. Malaika has to breastfeed our child for two years. These things I hear about removing babies from breastfeeding and instead breastfeeding husbands are stupid. On a serious note, working women should embrace breastfeeding their children in the morning and evening. @galaxyfmug Frank Gashumba gives marriage update, says it’s treating him so well #ZzinaLifeStyle ♬ original sound – 100.2 Galaxy FM Zzina!
