He specifically cited medicines in health centres and funds under the Parish Development Model (PDM), stressing that these belong to the people and should not be misused.“Government programmes must be supervised by the people themselves,” Museveni said, urging voters to elect NRM leaders capable of monitoring implementation and holding those responsible accountable. The President also addressed concerns raised by the Bakuku community over alleged denial of passports, clarifying that citizenship by birth, registration or naturalisation is a constitutional right. He emphasised that no eligible Ugandan should be denied services due to what he described as unnecessary bureaucracy.Museveni further underscored the government’s focus on job creation through commercial agriculture, irrigation, skills training and industrialisation. He encouraged residents of Kayunga to identify land for the establishment of an industrial park as a way of boosting local employment and economic growth. On land matters, the President reaffirmed that the Constitution protects all land tenure systems and provides safeguards for tenants against illegal evictions. The Kayunga rally marked the start of NRM campaign activities in the Greater Mukono sub-region as the ruling party intensifies mobilisation ahead of the forthcoming elections. The post Museveni Launches NRM Campaign In Greater Mukono, Urges Citizens To Guard Public Programmes appeared first on The Insider.
