(Source: Virgin Atlantic Official Website)Airline company Virgin Atlantic has decided to fly more planes between London Heathrow and Bengaluru and will operate 11 flights per week, up from 7 currently in January, February and March 2026.The London-based airline will add to its exisiting schedule to Bengaluru, which was first launched in March last year, for both customer and cargo operations.The service will improve connectivity between India’s major tech hub and the UK capital, while offering smoother onward connectivity via London Heathrow to major North American cities such as Toronto, Seattle, San Francisco and New York.The Bengaluru service is overseen by the airline’s Boeing 787-9 dreamliner, comprising of 31 upper class, 35 premium, and 192 economy seats, while incorporating the signature Upper Class Social Space.India logs highest growth outside US: Virgin AtlanticWith India representing Virgin Atlantic’s largest area of growth outside the United States, the enhanced schedule complements the airline’s double daily services from London Heathrow to both Delhi and Mumbai, providing connections to 33 destinations across India including Goa, Amritsar and Jaipur.Since 2019, Virgin Atlantic has increased capacity to India by 250 per cent, now offering over 500,000 seats annually between the UK and India, a company statement said.Airline optimisticJuhu Jaervinen, the chief commercial officer, Virgin Atlantic, said: “We’re delighted to be strengthening our Bengaluru service, reflecting strong customer demand and our continued commitment to India.
