/u/Rickbox on NYC apartment doesn’t pay their staff properly and resorts to begging tenants

I freaking hate this r/asknyc has gotten into fights about tipping. I used to tip at my old coop because I thought it's customary. I moved into my new place in September. It's January 1. I have the cards & the cash but I'm still split on whether to do it because I don't want to start doing this every year if no one else is. Also, why tf is nyc the only place in the world where you tip your building staff? It's such bs
