Police have arrested two persons, a techie from Davangere and an autorickshaw driver from Bengaluru, for alleged defamatory and obscene posts on social media against actor Darshan’s wife Vijaylakshmi. The accused have been identified as Chandrashekhar, 45, autorickshaw driver, from Chikkabanavara, and Nithin, 31, a techie.Actor Darshan’s wife Vijayalakshmi on December 24 lodged a complaint with the Cybercrime police in Bengaluru against 18 social media accounts that had obscene and defamatory posts against her. An FIR was registered and a probe was launched to identify the users of these accounts. Of them, two have been arrested now.Published - January 02, 2026 09:29 pm IST
