Arora lays foundation stone for renovation of Shaheed Udham Singh Martyrdom Memorial

These development projects include the upgradation of Shaheed Udham Singh Martyrdom Memorial, two martyrdom gates, connecting around 3,500 households to sewerage facilities, along with several other development works in Sunam Udham Singh Wala constituency in Sangrur district.On this occasion, SDM Pramod Singla and a large number of local residents and officials were also present.After paying homage to Shaheed Udham Singh at his memorial and laying the foundation stone, Arora while speaking to mediapersons said that the Punjab government is undertaking a complete renovation of the martyrdom memorial, which will cost Rs 21.17 crore. In addition, two grand gates will be constructed in the area in memory of Shaheed Udham Singh who hailed from Sunam.In response to a question from journalists, he said that the Union government should make efforts to bring back Shaheed Udham Singh’s relics and remains lying to India.
