Next State-level science conference to be held in Belagavi

The curtain fell on the three-day fifth State Level Scientific Conference here on Tuesday with a decision to hold the sixth conference in Belagavi.The decision was taken unanimously at the meeting headed by chairman of the Karnataka State Scientific Council Hulikal Natraj on the third and final day with conference president Vishwaradhya Satyampet being present, while other members, including the former scientist A.S. Kiran Kumar, approved it.Sri Gurumurugha Rajendra Swamiji of Khasa Mutt, Sidda Basava Kabirananad of Shankar Peetha Chigaralli, H.V. Chikka Hanumanthegowda, Gundappa Kalaburagi and Deputy Director of Public Instruction Channabasappa Mudhol were felicitated for their contribution towards conducting a State-level event successfully.Assistant lecturer Jayadevi Gaikwad and chairperson of Sharnbasveshwar educational institutions Dakshayani Avvaji delivered a speech and appealed for focus on spreading scientific thinking and developing science and technology.Ms. Gaikwad expressed serious concern about superstition that is rapidly growing even among educated people.Honorary Adviser C.
