The IDF’s year in review: Hundreds of military operations with hundreds of thousands of soldiers, tens of thousands of strikes, thousands of terrorists arrested, with dozens of senior terrorists, Iranian leaders, and nuclear scientists eliminated.By World Israel News StaffThe Israeli military carried out nearly 21,000 strikes in 2025 on targets across multiple fronts, including the Gaza Strip, Lebanon, Syria, Judea and Samaria, Yemen, and Iran, the IDF revealed on Wednesday morning.The IDF released statistics on its activities during the multi-front war over the past year, from January 1st through December 15th.A total of 430 military operations on land, sea, and air were carried out in 2025, utilizing hundreds of thousands of soldiers, including 306,830 mobilized reservists.Some 50 naval strikes were carried out, with Israeli naval forces logging 130,000 operational hours at sea.While the IDF did not release data on the number of terrorists eliminated in the Gaza Strip, it revealed that some 19,500 targets were struck, leaving 13,910 terrorist infrastructures or positions destroyed, including 270 weapons depots in Gaza.More than 70 senior Hamas terrorists, including the chief of Hamas forces in Gaza, Mohammed Sinwar, were eliminated in 2025.The other senior Hamas officers killed this past year included the commander of Hamas forces in Rafah, Mohammed Shabana, and Abdallah Abu Shamala, head of the terror group’s naval operations.In total, 4 Hamas brigade commanders, 14 battalion commanders, and 53 company commanders were eliminated in 2025.On the northern front, the IDF reported some 1,920 violations by Hezbollah of the November 2024 ceasefire in Lebanon.In response, the IDF struck 950 targets in Lebanon, including 210 rocket and missile launchers and weapons depots, 140 military buildings and terror infrastructures, and roughly 60 terror tunnel shafts.Some 380 terrorists were eliminated on the northern front.IDF forces also killed approximately 230 terrorists operating in Judea and Samaria and arrested 7,400 terror suspects, including 1,190 Hamas members.During raids in Judea and Samaria, the IDF seized 1,340 weapons and 16,480,000 shekels ($5,177,500) in terror funds.Twenty airstrikes were carried out in Judea and Samaria, 80 brigade-level operations conducted, and 30 terrorist homes demolished.Over the course of the 12-day war with Iran in June, Israel’s air force carried out 1,500 strikes on 900 positions.The IDF eliminated 30 senior Iranian regime officials and 11 nuclear scientists.Roughly 20 major strikes were carried out against Iranian-backed Houthis in Yemen, with 230 targets struck and 13 senior Houthi leaders eliminated.Approximately 180 fighter jets took part in the strikes.Over the course of 2025 across all fronts, a total of 91 IDF soldiers fell in the line of duty, with 821 wounded.The post IDF carried out nearly 21,000 strikes in 2025 appeared first on World Israel News.
