The new year 2026 has begun with transfers of many officers holding prime positions at the district levels. Shivamogga and Chikkamagaluru districts have got new deputy commissioners and superintendents of police. In Hassan, the SP has been transferred.Gurudatta Hegade (IAS 2014), who took charge as DC of Shivamogga in January 2024, has been transferred to Bengaluru, where he will hold the office of the Commissioner of Health and Family Welfare Services and also the charge of the Managing Director of Karnataka State Medical Supplies Corporation Limited. Prabhulinga Kavalikatti (IAS 2013) will take over as DC of Shivamogga.C.N. Meena Nagaraj (IAS 2012), DC of Chikkamagaluru district, has been transferred as Commissioner of Revenue (Revenue, LAQ, R&R and Social Security) in Bengaluru. She has served as DC of the Malnad district since June 2023, and now she has been replaced by N.M. Nagaraj (IAS 2016).G.K. Mithun Kumar, IPS officer of the 2016 batch, who has served as SP of Shivamogga for over three years, has been transferred as DCP of the North-East Division in Bengaluru. Nikhil B., an IPS officer of the 2017 batch, will take over as Shivamogga SP. Mr. Nikhil had been serving as SP of Kolar.Chikkamagaluru SP Vikram Amathe, (IPS 2018) has been transferred as DCP of the East Division in Bengaluru. Jitendra Kumar Dayama (IPS 2019), who was SP of ANF, has been posted to Chikkamagaluru. Mr. Dayama took charge of the new post on Thursday.Shubhanwita (IPS 2018), who was SP of CID in Bengaluru, has been transferred to Hassan. She will replace Mohammad Sujeetha M.S., (IPS 2014), who has been posted as DCP of the South East Division in Bengaluru.
