The world's first 2nm smartphone chip, the Exynos 2600, is expected to power the Galaxy S26 series. This new flagship chip, developed by Samsung's System LSI division, uses a more modern fabrication process, newer CPU cores, and an in-house GPU. Furthermore, its NPU offers improved AI performance, partly thanks to optimization techniques developed by South Korean firm Nota AI.Nota AI, a South Korean firm that specializes in optimizing AI models to make them lightweight, has revealed that it worked with Samsung on the Exynos 2600. The company has signed an agreement with Samsung Electronics to offer its AI optimization platform technology, Netspresso, which reduces the size of AI models by 90% while still maintaining accuracy. It can efficiently optimize and deploy AI models on a wide range of hardware. This technology allows app developers and users to use even larger AI models directly on the device, with no need for an internet connection. Nota AI will also work with Samsung to develop the Exynos AI Studio, which is an AI optimization toolchain developed by Samsung.The two companies had also worked together to improve the AI performance of the Exynos 2500 system-on-chip that is used in the Galaxy Z Flip 7.
