Three men are currently hospitalised with serious injuries following an accident that occurred along the Industry Public Road, commonly known as the Number 19 Road, in East Coast Berbice on Friday night.The injured individuals are: Ganesh Singh, 24, of Hope Bath Settlement, West Coast Berbice; Ronald Scott, 25, of Lot 4 Kildonan, Corentyne, Berbice; and Cloyd Davis, 26, of Lot 10 J. Limlair, Corentyne, BerbiceReports indicate that around 22:00 hrs, motor car PAG 4678, driven by Scott with Davis as a passenger, was traveling east in the northern lane. At the same time, motor car PAB 7500, driven by Singh, was heading west in the southern lane. Singh reportedly lost control of his vehicle and collided with the front right side of Scott’s car, which was in the northern lane.As a result of the collision, Scott’s vehicle ended up on the northern side of the road facing west, while Singh’s car landed in a trench on the southern side.One of the vehicles involved in the accidentAccording to the information gathered, Scott, Singh, and Davis all sustained injuries. The police and Emergency Medical Technicians from the New Amsterdam Fire Station were contacted and arrived on the scene. They had to cut parts of Scott’s vehicle to extract him. He was then transported to the New Amsterdam Public Hospital in an unconscious state, where he and the others were examined by a doctor and are currently receiving treatment.Reports indicate that a breathalyser test administered to Singh at the New Amsterdam Public Hospital showed readings of 61 and 69 micrograms of alcohol in his breath.Singh is admitted to the Male Surgical Ward, while Scott is in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and is reported to be in stable condition.On Saturday at approximately 06:30 hrs, Davis was transferred to the Georgetown Public Hospital for further medical attention.Investigations into the accident are ongoing.The post Three hospitalised following accident on No. 19 Public Road appeared first on News Room Guyana.
