Guyana will promote two new tourism products at Regions Two and Nine, as part of the activities organised for Tourism Awareness Month 2025.Minister of Tourism, Industry and Commerce, Susan Rodrigues, on Saturday said the new products add to many other activities planned for November.Minister of Tourism, Industry and Commerce, Susan Rodrigues during her remarks.This year, the month is being observed under the theme: “Tourism, a transformational pillar of Guyana’s economy.”The calendar of events for Tourism Awareness Month.This year’s launch was held at the Baganara Island resort.“During the month of November, we will be launching two new products, One in Region Nine and the other in Region Four, Adding to the 68 [products] already introduced since 2020,” the minister said.Additionally, persons can look forward to GUYEXPO, the Orealla and South Rupununi Safaris, and the Guyana Christmas Village.The month of activities will also focus on the interactions between tourism and Guyanese and the behaviour of citizens to promote hospitality.“This campaign will be sustainable, lasting for at least one year and it will feature aggressive media campaigns which would include billboards, social media, radio, and television.“We will have those tough conversations . We will tackle some of our bad behaviour,” Minister Rodrigues said.President of the Tourism and Hospitality Association of Guyana, Mitra Ramkumar said tourism drives value through businesses that are involved and it builds dignity and inclusion along with national pride.The collaborative approach to tourism between the government and private companies is expected to drive the growth of the industry extensively.The post New products, experiences as Guyana celebrates Tourism Awareness Month appeared first on News Room Guyana.
