As the game reached its final moments, Diljit was just two questions away from the coveted Rs 7 crore prize when the familiar hooter signalled the end of the episode. Amitabh Bachchan informed him that time had run out, to which Diljit playfully protested, “I didn’t lose, give me my money. I still have a lifeline left. And two questions are left, you can still ask them and I’ll answer them all.”Before this light-hearted exchange, Diljit faced a tense moment while attempting the Rs 50 lakh question. The question was: “Which famous musician composed the original distinctive tune that plays at the beginning of Doordarshan broadcasts?” The options were: A. Ustad Bismillah Khan, B. Pandit Ravi Shankar, C. Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia and D. Dr. L. Subramaniam.  Unsure between Pandit Ravi Shankar and Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, Diljit initially hesitated to use a lifeline. “I was averse to using lifeline,” he admitted candidly.Sensing his hesitation, Amitabh gently encouraged him, saying, “It isn’t wrong if you opt for a lifeline, it would boost your confidence.” Taking that advice, Diljit chose the 50-50 lifeline, which removed two incorrect answers and left only options B (Pandit Ravi Shankar) and D (Dr. L. Subramaniam). Laughing at his own instincts, Diljit remarked, “I already had a hunch that Option B is correct. I chose 50-50 on being prompted by you. I wasted it only, I was anyway thinking along these lines.”Also Read | Anurag Kashyap hits back at those who call him ‘nashedi’; says he hates Gangs of Wasseypur: ‘Want to hit them with a shoe’Amitabh, amused, reminded him, “You have a third lifeline left.” But Diljit, still confident, refused. “No way, I won’t use the third lifeline,” he declared firmly. Eventually, he trusted his intuition, locked in Option B, Pandit Ravi Shankar, and was delighted to learn he had answered correctly, securing Rs 50 lakh.In the same episode, he told Bachchan about his love for Amitabh Bachchan films during his childhood. “Sir, at that time, I used to watch your films. There was only Doordarshan back then, so that’s where the films came. I really enjoyed it. When your films came or Dharmendra sir’s films came, I was very happy because there was fighting and action, I loved that. But when Rajesh Khanna sir’s films came, they were very sad, and I would feel sad too. Back then, I had no idea what acting really meant; for us, only fighting and action were enough.”Click here to follow Screen Digital on YouTube and stay updated with the latest from the world of cinema.© IE Online Media Services Pvt Ltd
