El Fasher, North Darfur, has become the epicenter of a humanitarian disaster following its takeover by the RSF after an 18-month siege. The conflict, which began in April 2023 between former allies SAF and RSF, has resulted in mass killings, widespread starvation, and mass displacement, with credible reports of executions and ethnic violence.
