Tirupati Urban Development Authority (TUDA) Chairman ‘Dollars’ C. Divakar Reddy has proposed measures to ensure the planned growth and balanced development of the temple city of Tirupati.Speaking after inaugurating the multipurpose community hall and shopping complex developed by Sri Venkateswara University Teachers’ Cooperative House Building Society Limited at Nalanda Nagar on Sunday, he patiently listened to the residents’ civic concerns, particularly issues related to drainage. He assured that a drainage canal would be constructed to prevent water stagnation and improve sanitation.SVIMS Director and Vice-Chancellor R.V. Kumar highlighted the need for a new auditorium at SVIMS to accommodate growing academic and cultural activities. The event was presided over by the society’s president, A. Sambasiva Reddy. Other attendees included secretary M. Bhupathi Naidu, secretary P. Rajasekhar Reddy, SVU’s retired Senior Medical Officer Y. Raghava Reddy, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Director N.
