A migrant boat carrying more than 100 people, including women and children, was reportedly shot at while in Malta’s Search and Rescue (SAR) zone, according to the NGO Alarmphone.The organisation, which operates a 24/7 distress hotline for people crossing the Mediterranean, said the incident occurred on Sunday afternoon and that passengers reported one person dead and three others injured after being attacked by the “so-called Libyan Coastguard.” View this post on Instagram A post shared by Lovin Malta (@lovinmalta)“We are in contact with a boat in the Maltese SAR zone and people report they are being shot at by the so-called Libyan Coastguard right now.
