Ever since it was announced last year at the D23 Expo, everyone around Disney has referred to the new land at Hollywood Studios as Monsters, Inc. Land. Now, it appears that Disney has finally settled on a name for the new section of the park. At Walt Disney Presents in Hollywood Studios, Disney replaced an exhibit on its cruise ships with a new preview of the lands coming to Disney World parks. The final preview was for the new Monsters, Inc. Land at Hollywood Studios, which used the name Monstropolis several times, including in the display’s main heading. While that didn’t confirm the new name, it strongly hints at what was coming. With the new permit, Disney Imagineering has all but confirmed the new name; however, fans also noticed that something was missing from the latest concept art that debuted this week. While the building remains in the concept art, it is unclear what will become of it.With a new name, Monstropolis will join Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and Toy Story Land as the defining areas of the new Hollywood Studios.
