According to the Egyptian Presidency, the meeting aims to “end the war in the Gaza Strip, strengthen efforts to establish peace and stability in the Middle East, and open a new page of regional security and stability.”India’s participation follows a last-minute invitation extended to Prime Minister Modi by Presidents Trump and Sisi on Saturday. While there was initial speculation that Modi might attend in person, New Delhi opted to send Singh as its representative, reflecting a cautious approach amid sensitive regional dynamics.World leaders including German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, French President Emmanuel Macron, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, and UN Secretary-General António Guterres are also expected to attend the summit.
