There are websites where a fake Aadhaar card with totally wrong details can be created. I can demonstrate how one of the world’s most powerful leaders’ Aadhaar card can be created,” said Pawar.During the demonstration, Pawar showed how an Aadhaar card could be generated in the name of the US President using one of the easily accessible websites, with an address from Rashin town in his Karjat–Jamkhed constituency.“Such websites are widely available on the internet. These go offline in a few days and reappear under different names later. Now, using an Aadhaar generated from such a website, any person can be registered as a voter,” Pawar added. The NCP (SP) legislator also flagged several irregularities in the voters’ lists across constituencies, including multiple registrations, mass deletions, and fake voters.“We demand that an analysis of the increase in the number of voters be shared with us officially. Digital voters’ lists should be made available. Voters have increased after the state assembly polls, and hence, a thorough verification of these lists is necessary. The CCTV footage of the voting centres should also be made available,” said Pawar.Sources within the State Election Commission said the opposition parties have submitted multiple complaints and that the issues are being looked into “positively.”Story continues below this adEarlier this week, top opposition leaders met the State Electoral Officer of Maharashtra and the State Election Commissioner on Tuesday and Wednesday, pointing out discrepancies in the voters’ list and urging that they be rectified before the upcoming local body polls.Stay updated with the latest - Click here to follow us on Instagram© The Indian Express Pvt LtdTags:Supreme Court Aadhar
