The state government has assured full logistical and security arrangements for the events, which are expected to draw participation from across the country.Describing the commemoration as a “once in a lifetime” occasion, the state government said events will be organised across Punjab with the central ceremony scheduled to be held at Anandpur Sahib, a town deeply associated with the life of the ninth Sikh Guru.Underlining the significance of Guru Tegh Bahadur’s legacy, the spokesperson said the events would focus on spreading the message of secularism, human rights, and sacrifice, values embodied by the ninth Sikh Guru. “The supreme sacrifice of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur was unique and unparalleled in the history of mankind,” the official said.The commemorative programmes will include cultural, spiritual, and educational events, aimed at promoting the Guru’s teachings among the public, particularly the youth. The government said it sees the occasion as an opportunity to reinforce communal harmony and the state’s cultural heritage.“The life and philosophy of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur ji serve as a lighthouse for humanity. These events are intended to inspire future generations to carry forward this legacy,” the spokesperson added.Meanwhile, state ministers have been tasked with inviting chief ministers of other states.
