An illegal immigrant, Radule Bojovic, working as a police officer in Hanover Park, was arrested by ICE for overstaying his visa by over a decade. Officials expressed alarm at local departments hiring undocumented individuals and issuing them firearms, violating federal law and jeopardizing community safety. Bojovic, a native of Montenegro, had recently joined the police force.
