An electric scooter parked in the basement of a house at Shivanahalli in Basaveshwar Nagar was gutted due to an accidental fire on Sunday night. No one was injured.The house owner, Mukesh, had parked his EV for charging. The fire broke out at around 11.30 pm and the family realised as smoke engulfed the building.They rushed to the basement and pulled out the burning scooter out before the fire and emergency personnel reached the spot. A bicycle parked adjacent to the scooter was also gutted. The personnel later doused the fire.Published - October 13, 2025 06:25 pm IST
